These types of appointments help spot potential problems before they begin. They are important in diagnosing the onset of a medical condition and in monitoring your child’s growth and development.
While wellness begins with regular checkups, we also provide the required physicals for team sports, summer camp, and school entry as we look to ensure that your child’s immunizations are kept up to date.
Same day sick visits
We understand that a child can be ok one minute and not the next. This is why we offer same day sick appointments for your children. Please call us to talk about your needs.

At Child Plus Pediatrics, we know there are times that you need specialized care. After careful evaluation, we will refer your child to the best possible specialist that can address the care you need. Please call us to take the first step in helping your children get where they need to be.
Accessible Providers After Hours
As your child grows, you’ll have questions from time to time that require a professionals consultation. Our providers are available by phone between your regular appointments. See the information at Phone-In Questions for contacting our team. If you have a concern about your child, we want to help give you the peace of mind of having the answers you need.
For routine questions
Our providers return calls for routine questions at various times, so it is helpful if you give a time period you will be available at a certain number and if there is an alternate number you will also be available. This will minimize the phone tag problem with the doctor.
For urgent problems
Let the message desk know it is an emergency and they will address your situation right away.
After office hours
If our office is closed when you call, please follow the directions of the automated attendant so your call can be handled promptly and by the correct department. Child Plus offers an after-hours nurse who can be reached by following the prompts of the automated call-routing system. If you have left a message and have not heard back in an hour or two in the evenings, or promptly in the middle of the night, please call again. If necessary, go to the emergency room if the problem cannot wait until the office opens the next day.

Management of chronic conditions
Our staff will help your family deal with the management of a chronic illness or condition. Your doctor will oversee your child’s care with any specialist or therapist. Our referral coordinator will help schedule the initial appointment and send over any lab results or medical records that they may require.
Minor Procedures- simple laceration repair
We can sew or glue a simple cut, drain an abscess, remove an infected toenail, freeze many warts, and perform other minor procedures. If you think your child needs this, please let the staff know when you schedule the appointment so we can get you a longer appointment.
