The Coronavirus (COVID-19), Child Plus Pediatrics is changing office flow

CoronavirusIn an effort to limit the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), Child Plus Pediatrics is changing how our office flow is handled. We have been closely monitoring the respiratory illness caused by the Coronavirus (COVID-19), and we are currently maintaining regular office hours.

  • Please call the office to set up an appointment. We will not accept walk-in patients.
    • If you think you might have been exposed to the Coronavirus take the following steps:
      • If your symptoms are mild, please call us so we can help you determine the best course of treatment for your child.
      • If you have severe symptoms (e.g. difficulty breathing, high fever), then you should go to the Emergency Room.
  • All patients will be asked screening questions recommended by the CDC for the Coronavirus.
    • This is the first line of defense against the virus, in addition to hand washing, covering coughs, and remaining at home if sick.
  • To minimize the spread of the virus, we ask that only one parent/guardian accompany the child. Try to leave other children at home or have them wait in the car with an adult.
  • When you arrive for your appointment, you may call us and wait in your car until we call to let you know we are ready for your appointment.

Symptoms of the Coronavirus:

  • High Fever
  • Cough
  • Shortness of Breath
  • Sore Throat
  • You have been out of the country, on a cruise, or in contact with persons who may have been exposed

To contain the spread of the Coronavirus the CDC recommends:

  • In the event you are displaying any of these symptoms, please contact our office by phone so we can help you determine the best course of treatment for your child.
  • Take everyday preventative actions to stop the spread of germs (wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth, clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces)

We are constantly monitoring the situation in Tarrant County and will alert you to any changes in our schedule. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our office.
