Biography

Vonda grew up in Brenham, Texas, and graduated from Brenham High School in 2001. She then attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences with a Minor in Business Administration in 2005. After graduation, she volunteered at Texas Children’s Hospital as a Radio Lollipop Volunteer, bringing joy and entertainment to the children and their families within their hospital rooms. Vonda completed her Master’s of Physician Assistant Studies at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, in 2010. Since then, she has worked in various outpatient pediatric clinics throughout Texas and has established many lasting relationships with her patients. She enjoys providing quality care to children of all ages, from infancy to young adulthood and working with parents to help them make the best choices for their children.

Vonda and her husband enjoy raising their two young daughters, Valyn and Violet, here in North Texas. Vonda enjoys participating in local community events and taking her daughters to parks in the DFW area. She also enjoys biking, running, and walking her two fur babies.

What is a physician assistant? Physician assistants are medical professionals who diagnose illnesses, develop and manage treatment plans, prescribe medications, and often serve as a patient’s principal healthcare provider. They work in physician offices, hospitals and clinics in collaboration with a licensed physician. The physician-PA relationship is fundamental to the profession and enhances the delivery of high-quality health care to patients.
